In Kropyvnytskyi, new prices for monthly passes on municipal buses and trolleybuses are being prepared. For passengers, they could increase to 600-1300 UAH, while the combined service ticket will cost 1700 UAH. The review is related to the fact that as of August 15, the city has already changed transport tariffs. This is reported by Suspilne Kropyvnytskyi.
How much will passes cost in Kropyvnytskyi
The draft resolution of the executive committee was published on September 16 on the city council's website. The document still needs to be considered at the meeting of the executive committee, the date of which has not yet been announced. Therefore, the proposed prices have not yet come into effect.
Schoolchildren will pay the least. The student pass for the trolleybus is proposed to be increased from 170 to 300 UAH, for the bus - from 220 to 450 UAH, and the combined - from 360 to 650 UAH.
For students, the trolleybus pass may rise from 220 to 450 UAH, the bus pass - from 270 to 670 UAH, and the combined - from 460 to 970 UAH.
The regular public pass for the trolleybus is proposed to be set at 600 UAH instead of the current 350 UAH. The bus ticket will cost 900 UAH instead of 430 UAH, and the combined will cost 1300 UAH instead of 700 UAH.
The highest tariffs will be for service passes: 700 UAH for trolleybuses, 1050 UAH for buses, and 1700 UAH for both types of transport. Currently, they cost 450, 550, and 900 UAH, respectively.
Prices are being reviewed against the backdrop of a difficult situation at KP "Electrotrans". Since September 10, there are fewer buses and trolleybuses in the city due to a shortage of about 150 employees, including 66 drivers and 44 conductors.
How the new price for passes was calculated
Calculations are based on 60 rides per month. For the combined pass, 120 rides are considered: 60 by bus and 60 by trolleybus.
The calculated cost of one ride is 12 UAH on the trolleybus and 18 UAH on the bus. These tariffs have been in effect since August 15 for cashless payments.
When paying in cash, one ride is currently more expensive: 15 UAH on the trolleybus and 20 UAH on the bus. With a transport or bank card, as well as a smartphone, passengers pay less.
For different categories of passengers, discounts are applied to the base calculation. For example, 60 rides on the trolleybus at the regular electronic tariff would cost 720 UAH, while the public pass is proposed to be sold for 600 UAH, the student for 450 UAH, and the school pass for 300 UAH.
Separately, Kropyvnytskyi is transitioning to an electronic payment system. Since September 2, the city has started issuing personalized cards to people entitled to free travel.
Recall that earlier Inkorr reported where to get a preferential card for free travel in Kropyvnytskyi.
