One-and-a-half-year-old boy swallowed a pen: police escorted him to Okhmatdyt at night

Півторарічний хлопчик випадково проковтнув ручку: поліція терміново доставила його до лікарні Охматдит уночі.

Police delivered a one-and-a-half-year-old boy to the capital's 'Okhmatdyt' at night, as he swallowed part of a plastic pen. This was reported by the Kyiv Regional Police.

During the processing of a nighttime call, an employee of the Boryspil District Police was at a local hospital. He heard a distressed woman explaining that her son needed urgent help.

As the curfew was already in effect, the mother could not get to the facility on her own. A police officer, together with a community police officer, escorted her and the boy to 'Okhmatdyt'. There, the child was handed over to on-duty doctors for necessary assistance.

Recall that the curfew in Kyiv during the Christmas (December 25) and New Year celebrations will not be shortened or lifted. It will continue from 00:00 to 05:00, as usual.

The Kyiv metro reported that it does not currently plan to adjust its schedule during the Christmas and New Year holidays and will continue to operate according to the norms of martial law instituted by the Decree of the President of Ukraine dated February 24, 2022, No. 64/2022.

The city authorities urge citizens to adhere to established safety rules during the holiday period.

As a result of the police's quick response and the provision of necessary medical assistance to children, the boy received timely help and is now under the supervision of doctors. Remember that it is important to follow safety rules and not leave children unattended at any time of day, especially during festive periods.
