The struggle for rights to premises in the government quarter of Kyiv has come to an end. The Dnipro District Prosecutor's Office won a lawsuit for the recovery of non-residential premises in the historical center of the capital amounting to over 13 million hryvnias. This will allow the return of these premises to the communal property of the city.
According to the investigation, a private company usurped ownership rights to these premises through fraud, using forged documents. After conducting fictitious transactions, the premises left communal ownership.
The premises, which had been rented by the Main Department of the National Police in Kyiv since 2014, will now return to communal ownership by court decision
Another attempt to illegally seize communal property ultimately failed before the law, which is an important victory for the local community and authorities.
