Prosecutors Appeal Anti-Corruption Court Ruling
Prosecutors have announced they will appeal a decision by Ukraine's High Anti-Corruption Court concerning pre-trial restrictions for Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) officials and an intermediary in a case involving pressure on businesses. The court set bail at 998,400 hryvnias for one SBU official and a civilian intermediary, allowing them to avoid custody. Another SBU official received the same bail amount but with the added requirement of wearing an electronic monitoring device. Prosecutors had sought much stricter measures, requesting that each suspect be held in custody with bail set at 25 million hryvnias.
