The court supported the prosecution in the case of returning the wing of the Tereshchenko estate in Kyiv to communal ownership. This wing, built in the style of Venetian Gothic in the 19th century, will henceforth remain the property of the territorial community. This decision allows to preserve this architectural masterpiece, which has long suffered from destruction due to neglect and lack of restoration.
This is not the first case in which the prosecution has defended historical monuments of Kyiv from private owners. A similar step was previously taken in the case of the mansion on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard, 34. This indicates that the authorities are committed to preserving the city’s cultural heritage and its historical face.
