Contract Finalized for Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Showdown
Frank Warren, Tyson Fury's promoter, has announced that a contract has been signed for a bout against Anthony Joshua, scheduled for October at Wembley Stadium. Both boxers have agreed to face each other in late 2026.
According to details, Tyson Fury put pen to paper over a month ago, while Anthony Joshua only signed recently. Frank Warren stated:
“Tyson signed the contract a long time ago, a month or more back, and Joshua just did it now. So we’re preparing for the fight. The bout is set for October, definitely not before.”He also noted that much depends on the stadium’s availability on the desired date, emphasizing that
“obviously, it will be at Wembley.”
Upcoming Fights and Preparations
It’s worth recalling that before facing Fury, Joshua plans to fight Christian Prence on July 25 in Riyadh. Notably, in 2026, Anthony Joshua received challenges from both Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder. Both fighters are expected to have one bout each in Saudi Arabia ahead of the scheduled clash.
Joshua also holds a victory over Jake Paul by knockout in the sixth round in December 2025. After that fight, he was involved in an accident in Nigeria that claimed the lives of two of his trainers. Additionally, Joshua visited Ukraine in March alongside Oleksandr Usyk.
The signing of the contract for the Fury-Joshua fight marks a major moment in boxing, as both athletes command significant popularity and influence. With the bout planned for October, this provides ample time for both boxers to prepare properly, especially Joshua, who has a fight beforehand. Anticipation is building around this match, as results from previous bouts could impact their training and strategy moving forward. It’s also important to note that both fighters have other scheduled contests, which may affect their form and readiness for their meeting in the ring.
As the excitement builds for the upcoming clash between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua, fans are also eager to learn about Joshua's next opponent, which is set to be announced soon by Eddie Hearn. This announcement could significantly influence Joshua's preparations and strategy leading up to the highly anticipated October showdown at Wembley Stadium.
