Workshop for Regional Journalists Held in Kharkiv
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, collaborating with the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP) and supported financially by the Government of Japan, organized the fifth training session focused on anti-corruption tools for media professionals in Kharkiv. This event provided journalists an opportunity to explore how the media can effectively expose corruption and identify key considerations when reporting on such issues.
Key Skills and Insights for Anti-Corruption Reporting
The workshop covered a broad range of topics relevant to reporters working in anti-corruption journalism. Participants gained insight into NACP’s process for verifying officials’ declarations and assets, and learned how to utilize open registries and databases for investigative purposes. Discussions also emphasized fact-checking techniques and strategies to protect journalists from manipulation and disinformation campaigns.
