The farewell to Stepan Higa takes place in Lviv
In the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Lviv, the farewell to the People's Artist of Ukraine, the legendary singer Stepan Higa, is ongoing. His relatives, friends, admirers, and hundreds of locals came to see him off on his last journey. The coffin with the singer's body was brought to the church last night.
According to law enforcement agencies, about 500-700 people came to say goodbye to Stepan Higa. Another approximately 500 fans visited the church in the evening when the coffin was delivered.
Last farewells and burial
Inside the church and nearby, hundreds of people gathered to honor the artist who amazed and glorified Ukraine with his creativity. After the funeral rites in the church, a citywide farewell is expected to begin in Market Square around 3:00 PM.
Stepan Higa will be buried at the 75th field of Lychakiv Cemetery. The city is organizing the funeral and farewell.

Stepan Higa passed away on December 12. After surgery at a hospital in Lviv, the artist was saved, but he remained in intensive care due to complications. Colleagues and friends have already expressed their sorrow and memories of him. Through his creativity, Stepan Higa is remembered by Ukrainians as a great artist who united the nation.
