Two criminal proceedings have been opened against MP of Ukraine Maryana Bezuhla by court decision. The investigation is already ongoing, but details are currently limited. This is reported by UNIAN.
According to the Office of the Prosecutor General, the proceedings were initiated in accordance with the decisions of the Pechersk District Court in Kyiv. Information has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations.
Criminal proceedings against Bezuhla: what is being investigated
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation under the procedural guidance of prosecutors.
According to sources in law enforcement agencies, the following articles are involved:
- treason
- disclosure of state secrets.
The prosecutor's office emphasizes that the investigation is ongoing, so details are currently not disclosed.
“The investigation is currently ongoing, so any details can be disclosed only within the limits that will not harm the investigation,” the Office of the Prosecutor General stated.
Statements by Maryana Bezuhla: response to the accusations
Maryana Bezuhla herself responded to the situation on her Telegram channel. She published a post, which, according to her, became the basis for the accusations.
In it, the MP specifically wrote about the decision of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi regarding the redeployment of the 72nd Brigade from Vuhledar.
Bezuhla claims that this post is being used against her, interpreting it as treason.
Earlier, the MP was repeatedly at the center of scandals due to public criticism of the authorities and military leadership. She also announced in July that she has Asperger's syndrome and explained how it affects her perception of emotions and behavior.
It should be noted that Bezuhla criticized Yefrosynina for a post on social media.
