Today, during a meeting of the State Commission, the discussions focused on how to eliminate the consequences of missile strikes in the Odesa region. All settlements now have heat, water supply, and most have electricity. However, the work of emergency crews continues, trying to restore power to about 30,000 subscribers in two districts of the region.
The readiness of critically important supplies across all regions of Ukraine was also discussed. It is essential to have sufficient stocks of construction materials, fuel, medicines, food, and special equipment for rapid response to emergencies.
'We focus on the resilience of critical infrastructure. Electricity, heating, water, sewage, transport, and communication must operate in conditions of threats from missile and drone attacks, as well as mass outages.'
The role of regional and local commissions for technological and environmental safety and emergency situations is also under discussion. Training is being conducted, experience is being exchanged, and a unified response system is being implemented across the country. Civil protection is being built as a clear and understandable system for citizens, ensuring safety in wartime. These approaches will dictate the work of the State Commission in 2026.
During the meeting of the State Commission, emphasis was placed on unwavering commitment to ensuring vital resources and readiness for any dangers. It is important to have stocks and plans for emergencies to avoid critical situations in the future.
