Today there was a meeting with the Marshal of the Sejm of Poland, Wlodzimierz Chajasty. Many important issues were discussed at the meeting. Along with the main topics of cooperation in security and economy, the participants also agreed on strengthening sanctions against Russia and joint actions to return Ukrainian children who were abducted by Russia.
The Marshal also expressed support for Ukrainians who find temporary shelter in Poland and thanked for the adoption of the law extending the stay of Ukrainians. An important point was also the opinion on the historical memory of Ukraine and Poland and the emphasis that history should unite nations, not divide them.
I believe that historical issues should unite and strengthen peoples, and leaders should remind that there are more common victories than tragedies in Ukraine and Poland.
During the meeting with the Marshal of the Sejm of Poland, a wide range of issues was discussed, from security to humanitarian, and the importance of joint efforts for the development of friendship and cooperation between Ukraine and Poland was emphasized.
