Psychological Support at Resilience Points

Psychologists from Ukraine's State Emergency Service (SES) are offering crucial support to civilians at Resilience Points in the Kyiv region, including within mobile housing units. These specialists are focusing their efforts on vulnerable groups, particularly the elderly, people with limited mobility, and families with children residing in settlements for internally displaced persons (IDPs).

The SES Resilience Points operate across the Kyiv region, where psychologists provide consistent care. Their work extends beyond the Points' tents; they actively visit mobile homes to help people manage anxiety, fear, and emotional exhaustion. These conditions are common results of prolonged stress and uncertainty caused by the ongoing conflict. The war in Ukraine has created immense psychological strain, making such mental health services a critical component of the humanitarian response.

The SES's Role in Supporting Civilians

Ukraine's State Emergency Service is committed to transforming Resilience Points into spaces that provide not just physical warmth, but also care, support, and psychological resilience for all who need it.

Providing psychological support during a protracted war is an exceptionally vital aspect of humanitarian aid. SES psychologists strive to help people cope with the stress and emotional trauma stemming from war and displacement. As support centers, Resilience Points play a key role in preserving the population's mental health, especially for vulnerable groups who bear the heaviest burden of the conflict's consequences.
