Willian Pacho Set for Extended Stay at PSG

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has drawn up a fresh contract proposal for defender Willian Pacho. Negotiations between the Ecuadorian's representatives and the club are in their final stages. The new offer would extend his commitment until the summer of 2030, while his current agreement runs through 2029.

The French side intends to improve the financial terms of the deal, with Pacho currently earning €185,000 per week. This season, the center-back has made 44 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Notably, he has played 25 matches alongside fellow PSG center-back Illia Zabarnyi.

Club Ambitions and Market Moves

Illia Zabarnyi recently reflected on the team's 2025/26 Champions League triumph, where he played 15 minutes in extra time but did not take a penalty in the shootout. Meanwhile, PSG has been in active contact with the entourage of Real Madrid star Federico Valverde, though no formal offer has yet been submitted to the Spanish giants.

The revision of Willian Pacho's contract may signal PSG's intent to retain key players and strengthen their defense, especially amid growing competition on the European stage.

Securing the new deal until 2030 also aligns with the club's long-term planning strategy and desire for squad stability. At the same time, the interest in Federico Valverde suggests PSG is looking to add more top-tier talent, which could boost their competitiveness in future seasons.

As PSG looks to solidify its roster with the recent contract extension for Willian Pacho, the club is also keeping an eye on potential new signings. Reports have emerged about the interest in players from Bournemouth and Leipzig, indicating a strategic approach to enhance the squad's depth and competitiveness.
