Russian President Vladimir Putin put forward a series of conditions for ending the war in Ukraine during a meeting with American leader Donald Trump in Alaska. Among them are the refusal of part of the occupied territories in exchange for territorial concessions, the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops, freezing the front line, and other conditions, including the abandonment of the intention to join NATO and the official recognition of Crimea by Russia.
Despite these conditions, which seem quite tough, Putin does not offer to cease fire until a comprehensive agreement with Ukraine is reached. Trump supported the initiative and promised to assist in forming a new agreement between Russia and Ukraine.
