Cancellation of the actions of foreign courts by Russia
The President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, signed a decree that cancels the actions of foreign courts in criminal cases without the participation of the Russian Federation. According to the new document, the rulings of international judicial bodies will also not be executed if their jurisdiction is not based on international treaties or UN Security Council resolutions.
The head of the Board of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, Vladimir Gruzdev, emphasized that this law will apply to the verdicts of the International Criminal Court (ICC). Future Special Tribunals regarding Russia's crime of aggression against Ukraine will also fall under these restrictions.
