Putin holds a meeting with generals: what is really happening at the front

Vladimir Putin held a meeting with generals, during which the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Valery Gerasimov and commanders of military formations reported on the alleged capture of Myrnohrad in Donetsk region and Hulyaipole in Zaporizhzhia region. This information comes from Russian propaganda media, which report about 'accelerated advancement' of Russian troops towards Sloviansk.

The reports of the Russian military also claim a breakthrough in the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Zaporizhzhia, which allegedly led to the advancement of Russian troops by 7 km deep into the territory. However, competent authorities have begun verifying the information regarding the capture of the command-observation point in Hulyaipole, which may indicate the ambiguity of the situation at the front.

Putin's statements and international reaction

Additionally, Putin expressed a demand for the transfer of all territory of Donbas in negotiations with the United States. This statement underscores the continued tension in the region and Russia's intentions regarding control over the territory, which raises concerns within the international community. The situation at the front remains complex, and forthcoming events may significantly impact the development of the conflict.

Recent events indicate a rise in tension in eastern Ukraine, where information warfare and real combat actions intertwine. Russian reports of 'victories' may be part of an information strategy aimed at boosting the morale of troops and the population. At the same time, fact-checking and official statements from the Ukrainian side leave questions about the actual state of affairs at the front, which may indicate the continuation of a protracted conflict.

The international community, particularly the USA, is also monitoring the developments, which may influence further diplomatic initiatives in this region.
