Vladimir Putin is in no hurry to end the war in Ukraine, as it is believed that this would be a defeat for him. According to analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), stopping the conflict without achieving maximum goals would be viewed as a defeat for both the army and society.

"Putin has consciously cultivated the loyalty of Russian society to his military objectives and has not created the conditions for retreat or for a peace settlement that does not achieve his original military goals," the analysts noted.

Experts believe that Putin sees no need to cease hostilities, as his objectives are not understood by either the army or society. Russia actively supports the war, making it necessary for the country and mobilizing support among the population.

Moreover, Putin's regime maintains an economic dependence on the war, which could lead to a serious economic downturn in the future. Thus, the conflict in Ukraine has become a tool for him to retain power.

As a result of the analysis, it has been established that for Putin, ending the war in Ukraine without achieving all objectives is considered unacceptable. He continues to support the conflict, as he sees it as necessary for maintaining power and support among the population of Russia.
