The meeting of Donald Trump's advisors with Russian special envoy Kirill Dmitriev, which took place in Paris, discussed the strategy to end the war in Ukraine, security guarantees, and the status of territories in eastern Donbas. During the meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed his readiness to sign the architecture of security guarantees. Kyiv has already presented its proposals for the legal formalization of territorial issues, but Vladimir Putin did not comment on these proposals. It is important to note that on January 6, a meeting of coalition leaders also took place in Paris.

Zelensky also signed a declaration of intent to deploy a multinational military contingent in Ukraine. In this context, the President of Ukraine stated that the US plans to begin direct negotiations with Russia.
