Poland’s Stance on Russian Missile and Drone Threats
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Poland, Radosław Sikorski, has emphasized the urgent need to intercept Russian missiles and drones while they are still flying over Ukrainian airspace, prior to approaching NATO’s borders. Sikorski highlighted that recent Russian drone attacks targeting western regions of Ukraine pose a direct security risk that could soon extend to Poland.
Since Saturday, Russian drone strikes have persisted, including recent assaults near the Ukrainian-Polish border in Volyn region. Among the damaged infrastructure were a locomotive on the Kyiv-Warsaw train route and a gas station close to the Yahodyn checkpoint.
