Russian Missile Pierces Underground Parking of Kyiv Luxury Residential Complex

Ракета вдарила в підземний паркінг елітного житлового комплексу в Києві.

Massive Rocket Strike Targets Ukraine

In the early hours of May 24, Russia launched a large-scale missile attack across Ukraine, causing severe damage to numerous sites in Kyiv and the surrounding region. One missile tore straight through the underground parking garage of the upscale Trinity residential complex in Kyiv's Pechersk district, where several vehicles were completely incinerated. The strike also shattered windows at the Cabinet of Ministers building due to the blast wave.

Other damaged locations include two residential compounds near the U.S. Embassy—Zelenyi Ostriv-1 and Zelenyi Ostriv-2—as well as the Embassy of Azerbaijan. The National Art Museum and the Chernobyl Museum also suffered damage, along with the Lukyanivka market.

Impact on Civilian Infrastructure

In the Kyiv region, experimental Oryeshnyk ballistic missiles struck Bila Tserkva. Across the capital, over 50 sites were either destroyed or damaged in the assault.

Andriy Tsaplienko: 'It literally pierced straight through; there are mangled cars.'

These events underscore Russia's ongoing aggression and its devastating effects on Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

This attack highlights the escalating tensions in the region and the continued military actions by the Russian Federation, which directly impact civilian lives. The damage to critical infrastructure raises serious concerns about the safety and protection of Ukraine's civilian population, while also threatening the country's cultural heritage. Such developments are likely to trigger new international responses and security discussions across Europe.

The recent missile strike in Kyiv is part of a broader pattern of aggression that has led to significant destruction across the region. For instance, a devastating fire broke out in a warehouse covering 10,000 square meters in the Kyiv region following another Russian attack.
