This week, important visits took place to Greece, France, and Spain, during which significant agreements were reached regarding support for Ukraine and strengthening our defense.
Support from Greece
Greece is becoming an important point for Ukraine's energy and for all of Central and Eastern Europe. An agreement was reached on gas supplies for the winter, which will help us endure the difficulties caused by Russian attacks on our energy systems. We express our gratitude to Greece and Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis for their support.
Agreements with France
France will support our defense by supplying aircraft, air defense systems, radars, missiles, and bombs. New military aid for Ukraine is also planned. We are very grateful to France and President Macron for these agreements.
Support from Spain
Spain is also assisting Ukraine by allocating funds for the purchase of air defense missiles, support for security, and the energy sector. Additionally, Spain is preparing a new defense package that includes missiles for the IRIS-T air defense systems. We express our gratitude for such actions.
We will continue to work together with our partners to strengthen Ukraine. Glory to Ukraine!
— Air defense missiles, a new agreement to enhance our combat aviation, at least €515 million in support, and guaranteed gas supplies from Greece – these are the key outcomes of this week's visits to Greece, France, and Spain.
