Kyiv's Civilian Facilities Targeted in Early Morning Attacks
At dawn, Kyiv suffered strikes aimed at civilian infrastructure, resulting in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to approximately 20 more. The attacks struck office buildings, grocery stores, and gas stations, all unrelated to military sites. Fires broke out in several parts of the city, complicating rescue and recovery efforts.
About 100 emergency responders and 20 pieces of equipment were deployed to manage the aftermath. Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhiy Koretsky expressed condolences to the families of the victims and those injured, while also thanking the rescuers, medical personnel, and others involved in relief operations.
“I once again emphasize the urgent task facing city authorities — to accelerate the installation of additional mobile shelters so people can quickly find refuge,” said Serhiy Koretsky.
