Support for Oleshky Evacuees in Chernihiv

Emergency Service rescuers have been actively assisting residents evacuated from Oleshky, a town in the Kherson region temporarily under occupation. After leaving Oleshky, evacuees were welcomed and supported in the Chernihiv region.

To ensure their well-being, the rescuers set up tents for rest, provided meals, and arranged medical aid. Additionally, DSES psychologists offered mental health support to help evacuees cope with the challenges of displacement. A dedicated emergency vehicle was also deployed to safely transport pets, ensuring the care of animals alongside their owners.

Humanitarian Efforts and Psychological Care

This operation highlights the commitment of state emergency services to protect and assist civilians affected by conflict. Evacuation and relief efforts are essential components of humanitarian missions aimed at supporting those impacted by ongoing military actions.

Providing psychological assistance plays a vital role in helping displaced individuals adjust to new and often difficult circumstances, especially given the long-term effects of war trauma. Such comprehensive aid is crucial for fostering resilience and recovery among affected populations.

As the evacuation efforts continue, the situation in Oleshky remains critical. The recent operation, which deployed 25 buses and special vehicles during an 80-hour ceasefire, underscores the urgency of providing safe passage for those affected.
