Rescuers of the State Emergency Service pulled a family with a child from the rubble in Kyiv region: 4 people died

Tragedy in Kyiv region

Rescuers of the State Emergency Service (SES) managed to save a family from Brovary that was trapped under the rubble due to a Russian shelling. Unfortunately, during the attacks in Kyiv region, four people died, and another 19 were injured. All those rescued – a mother, father, grandmother, and a five-year-old child – received medical assistance and are currently in the hospital.

At night, the enemy attacked almost all areas of the Kyiv region, leading to fires in residential buildings and outbuildings in the territories of Brovary, Obukhiv, and Boryspil. Rescuers worked at 11 sites, extinguishing the fire. As of 04:40, Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the death of four people and stated that 19 were injured, most of whom were hospitalized.

Impact of the shelling on the city

In Kyiv, fires and damages to residential buildings, civilian and industrial facilities have also been reported. Additionally, on January 9, the city of Slavutych in Kyiv region found itself in a complete blackout. According to SES information, the shelling caused significant destruction and requires urgent action to eliminate the consequences.

This tragedy confirms the ongoing shelling of civilian objects in Ukraine, causing loss of life and destruction of infrastructure. Rescue services continue their work, trying to save the affected and eliminate the aftermaths of the attacks.
