The large shelling of energy facilities in Odesa by Russian troops has led to the city being without electricity for a week. According to the State Emergency Service, rescuers show how Odesa residents survive without electricity.

Since December 12, Odesa has been facing constant power outages and water supply interruptions in some areas. Rescuers from other regions of Ukraine have arrived to assist the local population, bringing tank trucks with drinking and technical water, as reported by the State Emergency Service.

Statement from the State Emergency Service: 'Rescuers from all over Ukraine have come to help the residents of Odesa. In areas without water, tank trucks with drinking and technical water have been stationed.'

Residents are reminded that they can contact fire stations where 'Points of Resilience' with heat, water, and electricity are operating.

Forecasts for the future

The attack by Russian troops on Odesa on the night of December 12 resulted in serious damage to energy and civilian facilities, fires, and interruptions in electricity supply. With significant damage from the shelling, parts of the city may remain without electricity for several weeks. Although energy workers promise to restore supply, the forecasts are not very optimistic.

With subsequent shelling of energy facilities by Russian troops, buildings and infrastructure in Odesa have been damaged, leading to the suffering of residents who are left without gas, water, and electricity.

As a result of the Russian attack on Odesa on the night of December 12, the city is still facing severe problems due to damage to energy facilities. The forecasts for future electricity supply do not look very optimistic, but local authorities and rescuers are trying to find solutions to improve the situation and provide assistance to the population.
