Ryazan is under attack by drones again: the strategic airfield Dyagilevo is on fire

On the night of August 2, Ryazan was once again the target of drone attacks. Explosions were heard in the city, and flashes and fires were noticed. Air defense systems operated at full capacity to shoot down drones approaching the military airfield Dyagilevo.

According to information from Russian Telegram channels, the drones were active throughout the night. Particularly loud explosions occurred near the strategic airfield, where important military aircraft are based. The governor of the Ryazan region, Pavel Malkov, emphasized: 'Thanks to air defense and electronic warfare, it was possible to destroy the drones in the air, there are no casualties, and residential buildings were not damaged.'

However, despite this, there are videos showing large fires. It has not yet been confirmed whether the Dyagilevo airfield was actually hit. It should be noted that this airfield has been targeted by drones before, as part of a systematic campaign of strikes on infrastructure used for missile attacks on Ukraine, with similar incidents occurring on June 1 and June 6 of this year.
