The school nutrition reform in Ukraine is not only changing the approaches to student lunches but also creating a culture of healthy eating among Ukrainian families. Significant achievements have been made in a short period: over 1.85 million children receive free hot meals, more than 1600 school canteens have been renovated, and 9000 cooks have been trained.
Now it is time to update the reform strategy to adapt it to new challenges and bring it closer to European standards. An important place in the implementation of this strategy is reserved for the 'Food for Schools' program, which will contribute to improving the quality of children's nutrition and harmonizing Ukrainian standards with European ones.
