Survey Results Published

A sociological survey conducted by the First Rating System agency from February 23 to 28, polling 2000 respondents, reveals the level of support for potential presidential candidates in Ukraine. The incumbent president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, leads the ranking with 29.2% of those surveyed ready to support him.

Former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, holds second position with 25.4% support. Head of the President's Office, Kyrylo Budanov, is among the top three politicians most frequently named by Ukrainians as a desired candidate. Among respondents who have already made a choice, 12% are ready to vote for Kyrylo Budanov. The fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, would be supported by 7.1% of respondents, while Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov garners 4.9%.

Candidate Rankings

Consequently, the three politicians with the highest support are ranked as follows:

  • Volodymyr Zelenskyy (29.2%)
  • Valerii Zaluzhnyi (25.4%)
  • Kyrylo Budanov (12%)

The top five politicians with the greatest support also include:

  • Petro Poroshenko (7.1%)
  • Ihor Terekhov (4.9%)

The poll results demonstrate significant backing for the incumbent president, which may indicate the stability of his standing among voters. At the same time, the high rating of Valerii Zaluzhnyi, who only recently concluded his service as Commander-in-Chief, could signal the growing popularity of military leaders in Ukraine amid the ongoing conflict. These findings come as the country prepares for a future electoral cycle, where public sentiment will be a key factor. The data is likely to influence the country's political landscape as elections approach and politicians actively shape their campaigns based on voter attitudes.
