Traffic Restrictions on the Southern Bridge
From 7:00 PM on May 15 until 7:00 PM on May 18, vehicle movement across Kyiv’s Southern Bridge will be temporarily limited. The disruption is due to asphalt concrete pavement repairs carried out by specialists from the municipal company Kyivavtoshliakhmist. The work zone is located on the section heading from the right bank to the left bank of the Dnipro River.
During the repairs, traffic will be directed to the middle lane. It is important to note that the schedule may shift if weather conditions deteriorate.
Major Overhaul in Solomianskyi District
Separately, a major renovation has begun on Valeriy Lobanovskyi Avenue in the Solomianskyi District. The project incorporates barrier-free design principles to improve accessibility and ease of movement for pedestrians of all abilities.
Work is also ongoing on the pedestrian sidewalk at the Orikhivatskyi Overpass, with the deadline extended to May 17. On this stretch, traffic will be partially restricted in the right lane heading toward Demiivska Square.
These temporary traffic limitations on the Southern Bridge and the capital overhaul in Solomianskyi District are part of the city authorities’ broader efforts to upgrade Kyiv’s infrastructure. The repairs aim to boost safety and convenience for all road users, including pedestrians. Meanwhile, drivers are advised to anticipate possible congestion and plan their routes in advance.
