The draw for the World Cup groups took place in Washington. The Ukrainian national team may play against the Netherlands, Japan, and Tunisia if they qualify for the tournament. This was reported by the publication 'Glavkom'.
At the time of the draw, 42 participating national teams for the World Cup were known, and six more teams will be determined during the playoffs. Europe will send four representatives to the tournament, one of which may be the Ukrainian national team. During the draw, a restriction was set to ensure that no more than two teams from the same confederation can be in one group.

- Group L: England, Croatia, Panama, Ghana.
In the playoffs of the 2026 World Cup, two teams from each group and the eight best third-placed teams will advance. The competition will take place from June 11 to July 11. FIFA noted that before the draw for the 2026 World Cup, a new division system for the strongest teams was implemented.
The USA expects about 10 million foreign guests to arrive for the 2026 World Cup.
