Russia responds to EU sanctions
Russia has responded to the new package of EU sanctions by expanding the list of EU citizens banned from entering its territory. This was reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
«In response to these unfriendly actions, the Russian side has significantly expanded the list of representatives of EU institutions, EU member states, and other European countries that are included in Brussels' anti-Russian policy, who are banned from entering the territory of Russia», - the statement says.
Among those banned from entry are employees of law enforcement agencies, citizens of EU countries and other Western states involved in supplying products to Ukraine, as well as representatives of European structures accused of persecuting Russian officials.
Additionally, as part of the 18th package of sanctions against Russia, the EU has for the first time included Chinese banks - Suifenhe Rural Commercial Bank and Heihe Rural Commercial Bank, located near the border with Russia, in the «black list».
After the EU imposed new sanctions against Russia, the countries exchanged entry bans for citizens. Russia responded to sanctions with sanctions, expanding the list of EU individuals banned from entering its territory.
