Drone Attack on Ukraine
On the night of August 11, the occupiers attacked Ukraine with 71 Shahed-type strike drones and various types of imitation drones. This was reported by the information portal 'Glaсkom' referring to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian invaders launched drones from Shatalovo, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk. As of 08:00, the air defense shot down 59 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country. There were hits recorded from 12 enemy drones at six locations. Debris was also found at one location.
The Air Forces reported that the drone strike by the occupiers was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
Response to the Attack
We remind you that the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the current enemy casualties at the front. As of Monday morning, the total losses of personnel amounted to about 1,064,240. In the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1,000 invaders, as well as four tanks and artillery systems.
Due to the enemy's drone attack the day before, a field of wheat caught fire in Sumy region. Russians deliberately attempted to destroy civilian infrastructure and cause damage to agricultural enterprises.
Several dozen enemy drones attacked Ukraine, but soldiers reacted and managed to shoot down a significant part of them. The response of the armed forces to the attack was effective, preventing the enemy from inflicting significant damage.
