Ukrainian collectors are actively searching for unique coins from 1992 that can bring unexpected profits. Recently, a rare version of the 25 kopecks coin from 1992 with an 'English mint mark' was listed at 19,003 hryvnias on one of the online auctions, and its price continues to rise.
The uniqueness of these coins lies in a stamping error, where the shade of the background and the image of the trident on the coin looked different from regular kopecks. Although these coins were not supposed to enter circulation, some specimens likely made their way to collectors from the mint. Therefore, they have become of particular interest among numismatists, and their value at auctions can significantly increase.
Other 25 kopecks coins from 1992 have almost no collectible value, and their price usually does not exceed 50 hryvnias. Such rare specimens remain separate treasures for Ukrainian collectors, especially considering the upcoming abandonment of 'kopecks' in Ukraine.
