The wholesale fuel market in Ukraine has stabilized after a tense period. The founder of the 'Prime' company, Dmitry Leushkin, noted that this happened due to several factors. In particular, mid-July brought relief with the water level in the Danube, which allowed tankers to deliver fuel to Ukrainian ports. Demand for fuel from agrarians has also decreased as they have finished harvesting early crops.

'We can now state that the tension in the wholesale fuel market has eased and the market has stabilized,' emphasized Leushkin.

Although the wholesale market shows signs of stabilization, the expected drop in retail prices is unlikely to happen. Large gas station owners are using the decrease in wholesale prices to increase their own profits rather than lowering prices for customers. Analysts suggest that gas station chains may offer various promotions for their regular customers.
