Growing Demand for Private Houses in Ukraine
Recently, Ukrainians have shown increasing interest in private houses, with demand for such housing rising by 19%. This data was provided by analysts from OLX Real Estate.
According to their data, prices for private houses have increased by an average of 12% over the past six months. Currently, prices range from 20,000 to 234,000 dollars. As always, the highest prices are observed in Kyiv, where the average cost has reached 234,000 dollars, which is 18% higher than a year ago.
The most expensive private houses are also in Lviv (185,000 dollars, +3%) and Uzhhorod (165,000 dollars, +7%).
In Ternopil and Khmelnytskyi there is a slight decrease in housing prices (by 8% and 3% respectively). At the same time, in cities that are close to combat zones, such as Chernihiv, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia, prices for houses have fallen by 10-17%.
Experts explain the increased demand for private houses by the growing need for safe housing with independent communications and power supply. Many Ukrainians are seeking opportunities to live in suburbs or small towns where they can have an independent life in case of a crisis.
The increase in demand is also explained by the fact that many people returning from abroad or moving to Ukraine are looking for a stable place for permanent residence.
The popularity of private houses in Ukraine is rapidly growing, linked to the desire of many people for stability and security amid economic and political instability. The overwhelming majority of buyers are seeking their own housing in remote locations from cities, where they can enjoy comfort and autonomy.
