State of the Agricultural Land Market in Ukraine in 2025
In 2025, the agricultural land market in Ukraine demonstrates stable dynamics, despite the war. There is an increase in land prices depending on the region. A total of 115.6 thousand plots of land with a total area of over 340 thousand hectares have been alienated.
Legal entities purchased 43,012 plots of land with a total area of 128,212 hectares, with an average price per hectare of 74,323 hryvnias. Individuals purchased 72,597 plots of land with a total area of 211,962 hectares, and the average price per hectare in this case was 47,246 hryvnias.
Land Prices by Regions
The most expensive lands in Ukraine are located in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, with prices reaching 165,615 hryvnias per hectare. In the Ternopil region, land prices are up to 126,068 hryvnias per hectare. In the Lviv and Vinnytsia regions, prices exceed 80-100 thousand hryvnias per hectare. The cheapest lands are found in:
- Kherson region (prices range between 35-38 thousand hryvnias per hectare)
- Mykolaiv region
- Zaporizhzhia region
These data indicate the resilience of the agricultural land market in Ukraine, despite the challenging conditions related to the war. High land prices in the western regions may be linked to the demand for agricultural products and investments in agriculture. The dynamics of the land market may influence future investment decisions and the development of the agricultural sector in Ukraine.
