This year in Ukraine, a Christmas procession with caroling stars will be held in 15 communities that became winners of the competition from the educational project 'Know Your Ukraine'. The project's patron, Hnat Korobko, reported this.
Hnat Korobko explained that this initiative aims to support and popularize the ancient Ukrainian winter tradition in various cities of the country. Each star that the winners will receive is a unique item made according to traditional Ukrainian patterns.
The goal of the project is to unite people around a common tradition of Christmas walks with stars to continue and feel the living culture of Ukraine. This will be possible thanks to the joint art and activity of residents of the communities that will receive Christmas stars.
Hnat Korobko emphasized: 'For us, this is an initiative about people and community. We want to support communities that are ready to bring light to their cities and keep traditions alive, uniting Ukrainians around the celebration of Christmas.'
The project 'Know Your Ukraine' is supported by the Charitable Foundation 'KOLO', the Ivan Honchar Museum, the educational platform EdEra, and patron Hnat Korobko. The initiative has already allowed teachers from various corners of the country to get acquainted with Ukrainian Christmas traditions and implement them in their schools to create a festive atmosphere among students.
