On June 29, cloudy weather with clearings and strengthening winds is expected in Ukraine, prompting meteorologists to issue a yellow warning.
The Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center reported that light brief rains are forecasted in the western regions and on the Left Bank. Moderate precipitation is expected at night in Sumy and Poltava regions, while the rest of Ukraine will remain dry.
The main feature of the day will be the strengthening of the wind. The northwestern wind will reach speeds of 7-12 m/s, with gusts of 15-20 m/s. The strongest gusts are expected at night in most northern, central, and southern regions, and during the day across Ukraine, except for the eastern regions.
The nighttime temperature will be 12-17°, and the daytime temperature will be 21-26°. It will be warmest in Transcarpathia, where temperatures may rise to 29°.
In Kyiv and the Kyiv region, it will be cloudy with clearings, and no precipitation is expected. The northwestern wind will be 7-12 m/s with gusts of 15-18 m/s. Nighttime temperatures will be 12-17°, and daytime temperatures will be 21-26°. In the capital, nighttime temperatures will be 13-15°, and daytime temperatures will be 23-25°.
The Hydrometeorological Center has declared an I hazard level (yellow) due to expected wind gusts.
'Weather conditions may lead to complications in the operation of energy, construction, and communal enterprises and transportation', the forecasters noted.
The warning is in effect for most regions of Ukraine, except for the eastern regions where the wind will be less intense.
