Ukraine Weather Outlook for April 25–26
A dramatic change in weather is set to hit Ukraine over the weekend. Saturday, April 25, will bring warmth and sunshine, but Sunday, April 26, will introduce a sharp drop in temperatures, rain, strong winds, and even snow in the western parts of the country. According to forecaster Natalka Didenko, the first sustained warmth in Ukraine is not expected until May 5.
Forecast for April 25–26
On April 25, daytime temperatures are expected to range from +11 to +15°C, with southern and western regions reaching +14 to +18°C. In Kyiv, rain is also forecast for April 25, with daytime highs around +13 to +15°C.
The forecast for April 26 points to cooler conditions, with temperatures dropping to +9 to +12°C. However, in the south, east, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, and Cherkasy regions, temperatures will remain between +15 and +19°C. Rain is expected across most of the country, with snow possible in the west. Winds will be gusty, coming from the west and northwest, with potential storm-force gusts.
Natalka Didenko noted, 'Of course, such weather swings will not go unnoticed by those sensitive to atmospheric changes, so while tending to gardens or balcony flowers, avoid bending over too much or rushing around—your head might remind you of the extra activity.'
The upcoming weather shift in Ukraine could affect several areas, including agriculture and daily life. The cold snap and rain may delay planting work, especially in western regions where snow is possible. Meanwhile, the warming trend expected from May 5 could bring more stable conditions for plant growth. As a result, it is important to monitor weather changes closely to adjust plans accordingly.
As this unpredictable weather unfolds, it's essential to stay informed about recent climatic events that could impact the region. For instance, just a few days earlier, on April 21, residents faced strong winds, frost, and even a moderate geomagnetic storm, which may have already set the stage for the upcoming shifts.
