The difference is already 60 hryvnias: supermarkets have set unexpected prices for apples, lemons, and oranges

According to the current price monitoring data from Minfin as of August 31, 2025, significant fluctuations in the cost of popular fruits in leading retail chains have been noted compared to July of this year.

The average price for Ukrainian apples is 60.96 hryvnias per kilogram, with the lowest price at Novus (39.99 UAH), slightly higher at Metro (41.50 UAH), and significantly higher at Megamarket (101.40 UAH).

Compared to July of this year, when the price of Ukrainian apples was 74.99 hryvnias, there has been a decrease of over 14 hryvnias per kilogram.

Lemons are sold at an average price of 96.46 hryvnias per kilogram, where the price at Novus (80.99 UAH) is lower than at Metro (93.50 UAH) and Megamarket (114.90 UAH).

In July, lemon prices were higher, with an average cost of 117.89 hryvnias, representing a decrease of over 21 hryvnias per kilogram.

The average price for oranges is 102.15 hryvnias per kilogram, with the possibility of purchasing at a lower price at Auchan, but slightly higher at Megamarket. Premium oranges average 104.45 hryvnias per kilogram, with prices at Novus higher than at Auchan.

In July, oranges were also available at a lower price: regular ones for 83.36 hryvnias and premium ones for 91.66 hryvnias per kilogram.
