One-time financial assistance for the families of fallen defenders of Ukraine
The Ministry of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine assigns and pays one-time financial assistance to the family members of fallen defenders of Ukraine. Under the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine No. 936 dated 30.07.2025, the families of the fallen may receive a total amount of one-time financial assistance of 15 million hryvnias.
Payments are made for the period from February 24, 2022, to March 25, 2022, without specifying the territory of death. Starting from March 26, 2022, payments are made for deaths in the combat zone. Of the total amount, 1/5, which is 3 million hryvnias, is paid immediately. The remaining 4/5, or 12 million hryvnias, will be paid in installments over 80 months, which amounts to approximately 150 thousand hryvnias per month.
Procedure for receiving assistance
Those who wish to refuse the assistance must submit a written application, notarized. For more detailed information and to apply, it is necessary to contact the Ministry of Veterans Affairs at the address: 34 Khreshchatyk Street, Kyiv, 01001. The list of necessary documents for receiving assistance is provided in the text of the resolution.
Thus, this program provides substantial financial support to the families of fallen defenders, which is an important step in recognizing their sacrifice and supporting them during difficult times.
