Russian Drone Strikes Target Three Ukrainian Regions, Causing Damage in Poltava, Lutsk, and Kryvyi Rih

Внаслідок атак російських безпілотників постраждали території Полтави, Луцька та Кривого Рогу.

Incidents on April 1

On April 1, a hostile drone crashed in the Poltava region, while separate drone attacks targeted the cities of Lutsk and Kryvyi Rih. Overnight, an enemy drone fell on the premises of an enterprise in the Myrhorod district of Poltava Oblast. The impact damaged a perimeter fence, a security building, and the roofs and window panes of nearby private homes and commercial properties. One person was injured in this incident.

In the early morning of April 1, the Russian military attacked Lutsk. A fragment from a kamikaze drone damaged an apartment building, with other strikes reported on a Nova Poshta warehouse and a grocery warehouse belonging to a retail chain. These attacks are part of a wider pattern of strikes on Ukrainian logistics and civilian infrastructure.

Additionally, overnight into April 1, Russian forces launched a drone strike on Kryvyi Rih in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. Explosions were also heard in the Khmelnytskyi region during an air raid alert that night.

Response to the Attacks

An investigation of the site in the Poltava region is ongoing. As of April 1, the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine has entered its 1,498th day. The conflict continues to see heavy use of drones and missiles against targets far from the front lines.

These incidents underscore an intensification of aggression by Russian forces, particularly their use of unmanned aerial vehicles to strike civilian infrastructure. The attacks on Lutsk and Kryvyi Rih confirm the war's severe consequences for the civilian population and raise concerns about security across other Ukrainian regions. The Ukrainian side continues to respond to these threats by surveying affected areas and providing medical aid to the injured.

These recent attacks highlight a troubling trend in the ongoing conflict, as Russian forces increasingly target civilian areas with drone strikes.
