Russia attacked three cities in Ukraine: details of the night strikes and Trump's statement

Нічні обстріли сталися в трьох українських містах: подробиці нападів та коментар Трампа.

Russian occupiers launched an attack on Chernihiv, Okhtyrka, and Dnipro, damaging civilian infrastructure. U.S. President Donald Trump announced the beginning of peace talks between Russia and Ukraine. Global news also mentions military conflicts on the Thailand-Cambodia border and the results of local elections in Bucharest, where a new mayor was elected.

Shelling of Chernihiv

The attack on Chernihiv occurred on the night of December 8, when Russian occupiers shelled the city. This attack led to damages to civilian buildings and injuries to several individuals who were hospitalized. During the attack, a gas pipeline in one of the houses was also damaged, causing a fire that was quickly extinguished. As a result, the house was temporarily disconnected from gas supply.

Additionally, shops and establishments nearby also suffered from the explosion, as well as three vehicles. A total of three injured individuals were reported, one of whom was hospitalized.

Attack on Okhtyrka

Also on the night of December 8, an attack took place in Okhtyrka, during which five civilians were injured. They are receiving medical assistance. Currently, rescue operations are underway at the scene.

Strike on Dnipro

Insurgents launched an attack on Dnipro using drones, which resulted in a fire in one of the city districts. Rescuers are working at the scene, but the extent of the destruction is significant.

Trump's statement

The U.S. president reported negotiations with Russia and Ukraine. Trump expressed disappointment that the proposal for conflict resolution had not yet been discussed by Volodymyr Zelensky, but believes that his team supports this idea.

Fighting on the Thailand-Cambodia border

As a result of Thai airstrikes on Cambodia, fighting erupted at the border between the countries. One Thai soldier was killed and four others were injured in the clashes.

Election in Romania

A new mayor of Bucharest, Ciprian Ciucu, has been elected in Romania. His victory is seen as strengthening Prime Minister Ilie Bolohan's position in the ruling coalition.

As a result of a series of attacks by Russian occupiers on Chernihiv, Okhtyrka, and Dnipro, significant damage was inflicted on civilian infrastructure, and several individuals were injured. The global community should closely monitor the situation and support all possible peace initiatives for conflict resolution.
