Attack on Chernihiv
On December 25, 2025, Russian occupiers attacked Chernihiv, resulting in damage to a five-story residential building. This attack led to injuries to 10 people, including three children. Unfortunately, one person died as a result of this shelling.
This incident occurred against the backdrop of a previous attack when, on December 24, Russian invaders struck a high-rise building in Chernihiv with a drone. Also, as a result of these actions, an important energy facility in the Chernihiv region was damaged, leaving tens of thousands of subscribers without electricity supply.
Impact on civilian residents
On Christmas Day, when homes were supposed to be filled with light, silence, and family warmth, the enemy struck again at the city's residential buildings. This tragedy highlights the continuation of military actions and their impact on civilian residents.
These events reflect not only the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Ukraine but also the escalation of the conflict in the region. Attacks on residential areas and infrastructure emphasize the seriousness of the threat to the civilian population, which is becoming increasingly vulnerable in wartime conditions. In light of this, the efforts of the international community to support Ukraine and ensure the safety of civilians remain crucial.
