Two Killed in Russian Drone and Artillery Strikes on Dnipropetrovsk Region

Strikes Hit Dnipropetrovsk Region

On May 18, Russian forces launched attacks using drones and artillery against Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region. Two people were killed and seven others wounded as a result. By 6:30 PM on May 17, the enemy had struck four districts of the region nearly forty times, including the Nikopol area, where two more people died and four were injured.

In the Nikopol district, a 78-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition, and a 42-year-old man was admitted with moderate injuries. The attacks damaged infrastructure, apartment buildings, private homes, summer cottages, and vehicles. In the Synelnykove district, a 41-year-old man was hurt, while in the Sursko-Lytovska community of the Dnipro district, a 76-year-old woman sustained injuries and was hospitalized in moderate condition.

Overnight Drone Assault on Dnipro City

Overnight on May 18, the enemy targeted the city of Dnipro with drones. Monitoring channels tracked the approach of over forty unmanned aerial vehicles. The strike ignited the roof of an apartment building, and in the Dnipro district, a warehouse storing pyrotechnic products caught fire. As of 12:50 AM, air defense forces were still engaged in operations across the Dnipropetrovsk region.

  • Marhanetska
  • Chervonohryhorivka communities

In the Synelnykove district, the Vasylkivka and Mezhova communities came under fire, while in the Kryvyi Rih area, Russian forces struck Kryvyi Rih city and the Zelenodolsk community. These events underscore the ongoing aggression in the region and its severe impact on civilians.
