Attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk Region
Russian forces launched a series of attacks across the Dnipropetrovsk region, damaging civilian infrastructure. Over 30 separate strikes were recorded in a single day, targeting three distinct districts. The Nikopol district was heavily hit, with attacks focused on the district center and the communities of Marhanets, Myrove, and Pokrovske. The assaults, conducted using drones and artillery, damaged five-story apartment buildings and private houses.
The strikes also caused destruction to:
- an industrial enterprise
- a secondary school (lyceum)
- an administrative building
- a civilian vehicle
Beyond the Nikopol district, the attacks extended to the Hrushivska community in the Kryvyi Rih district and the Pokrovska community in the Synelnykove district. In a separate incident in the Donetsk region, Russian troops destroyed a dam near the village of Osykove using a three-ton guided aerial bomb. This deliberate strike caused localized flooding and complicated troop movements along that section of the front line. These attacks are part of a broader pattern of targeting civilian areas and critical infrastructure in Ukraine.
Situation in the Region
Russian forces have intensified combat operations in the direction of Kostiantynivka, where they also destroyed a bridge on the northwestern outskirts of the town. The overall situation in the region remains tense due to the relentless attacks, which continue to inflict damage on civilian infrastructure and severely disrupt the lives of local residents.
The persistent threat to civilians and essential services raises significant concerns about a deepening humanitarian crisis. Strikes on residential buildings and social institutions indicate an escalation in the conflict, directly undermining regional safety and stability. Despite the efforts of local authorities, the tasks of repairing damaged infrastructure and meeting the basic needs of the population remain immensely challenging against the backdrop of ongoing hostilities.
