Attacks Across Ukraine
Russian forces have launched another assault on Ukrainian territory, targeting the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhzhia regions and inflicting significant damage to civilian infrastructure. The attacks, which occurred in February, resulted in the destruction of homes, a school, and one fatality. These strikes are part of a wider pattern of attacks on civilian areas far from the front lines.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, two districts were attacked using a combination of drones, artillery, and Grad multiple rocket launchers. Within the Chervonohryhorivka community of the Nikopol district, the assault damaged:
- 11 private houses
- farm buildings
- a car
The Pokrovska community also came under fire. In the Troitska community of the Pavlohrad district, the strike affected:
- a private enterprise
- a residential building
- an administrative building
- a gymnasium (secondary school)
- cars
Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the Troitska community following this attack.
Strike on Zaporizhzhia
Separately, on February 17, Russian forces attacked the city of Zaporizhzhia with explosive drones. This strike killed a woman and damaged residential buildings. The attack by so-called "Shahed" drones shattered windows and damaged the facades of apartment blocks.
These events underscore the ongoing Russian aggression and the war's severe impact on civilian life. The conflict, now in its third year, continues to see daily attacks that threaten non-combatants and critical infrastructure across Ukraine.
