Russia continued attacks on Ukrainian communities and energy infrastructure. The main strikes were inflicted on Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, and Kherson regions. During these attacks, 113 strike drones were launched, of which about 70 are Shahed-type drones. In addition, Russian forces used three ballistic missiles.
Situation in Kyiv
In the morning, air defense forces were operating in Kyiv. An air alert was declared in Kyiv and the Chernihiv region. Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to the defenders who repel Russian airstrikes day and night. The President also noted that the first priority for Ukraine is to strengthen the air defense system, particularly the supply of missiles to the systems. He also expressed gratitude to all those working to mitigate the consequences of these attacks.
These events underscore the continuing tense situation in the region and the challenges Ukraine faces amid aggression. The increase in Russian forces' activity indicates that the conflict remains in the spotlight, and Ukraine's efforts to strengthen its defense capabilities are becoming particularly important in these circumstances. The importance of international support and the supply of modern equipment for Ukrainian forces is becoming increasingly evident against the backdrop of new threats.
