Russia attacked the energy system: Kyiv and the region are left without electricity

Атака Росії призвела до масштабного відключення електрики в Києві та області.

Situation with electricity supply in Ukraine

The Russian attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure has led to serious consequences, particularly in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, where many consumers are left without electricity. Enemy shelling occurred in the evening and at night, significantly complicating the electricity supply situation. Emergency outages have been implemented in several regions, resulting not only from attacks but also from severe weather conditions.

A significant number of subscribers in Kyiv and the Kyiv region have faced outages. The city of Slavutych is completely without electricity, indicating the seriousness of the situation. Moreover, cases of outages have also been recorded in Donetsk region as a result of shelling. In the morning, more than a thousand settlements in Ukraine remain without electricity, which further complicates the lives of citizens.

Challenges in wartime and natural disasters

The highest number of outages occurred specifically in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions, where bad weather also contributed to the situation. In the conditions of military actions and natural disasters, the population faces serious challenges in ensuring electricity supply.

This situation underscores the vulnerability of Ukraine's energy infrastructure, which continues to suffer serious attacks during the war. The lack of electricity in large settlements can negatively affect the daily lives of citizens and the economy of the country. The importance of stable electricity supply becomes even more relevant, especially in the context of the winter period when the demand for energy increases.
