Безпрецедентна атака безпілотників на Харків вночі 1 червня.

Massive Drone Assault on Kharkiv

On the night of June 1, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack targeting Kharkiv and the surrounding Kharkiv region. The affected areas include the Slobidskyi, Osnovianskyi, and Kyivskyi districts of Kharkiv, as well as the city of Bohodukhiv. The strikes resulted in casualties.

In the Slobidskyi district, approximately ten impacts were recorded. In Osnovianskyi, a drone struck a garage cooperative, sparking a fire. Additionally, a drone hit a five-story residential building, also causing a blaze. In this district, a 34-year-old woman received medical assistance, and another individual required medical care as well. In the Kyivskyi district, a strike was recorded, and the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

Strike on Bohodukhiv and Aftermath

A drone also targeted the city of Bohodukhiv in the Kharkiv region, where a 39-year-old woman suffered an acute stress reaction and was treated on-site by medical personnel. These attacks continue a pattern of earlier assaults, including:

  • In March, a drone struck a residential area in Kharkiv’s Kholodnohirskyi district, injuring two people.
  • In early February, occupiers used a drone to hit an apartment building in the Saltivskyi district of Kharkiv, leaving seven people injured.

These incidents highlight the ongoing armed aggression and escalating tensions in the region, raising alarm among local residents and authorities. The rapid response of medical teams providing aid to the injured, along with law enforcement efforts to secure these areas, remains critical. Such attacks pose serious risks to civilian life and regional infrastructure.

The recent drone strikes in Kharkiv are part of a troubling trend, as the city has faced ongoing aerial assaults. Following the events of June 1, residents are left on edge, especially after experiencing three consecutive days of drone attacks that have further jeopardized civilian safety and infrastructure. Understanding the full scope of these incidents is crucial for grasping the escalating conflict in the region.
